I want to start by congratulating Jeff Ehlers on his victory last night. He and his incredible family ran a clean and positive campaign and I could not have asked for a more courteous and professional opponent. I believe we were able to demonstrate how politics can stay positive and idea focused and should not be personal. Our system of government is designed to promote civil dialogue where individuals exchange ideas. Unfortunately, we have lost much of that in our system of cancel culture and social media culture where too many simply try to shout above the others. I’m grateful that both Jeff and myself ran campaigns focused on ideas, not personal politics. I have had the opportunity to get to know Jeff and his family while out on the campaign trail and I wish them all the best! Thank you Jeff for stepping up to run and to serve our community and you and your family will be in my prayers as you take on the fight for our Idaho values in the legislature.

 

I also want to give a special thank you to each of our supporters! We earned over 2000 votes from people right here in District 21 who supported our vision for liberty in the Idaho Legislature. I especially appreciate the help from my wonderful family. They have been incredibly supportive and I am sincerely grateful for the countless hours they volunteered and the encouragement they gave throughout the campaign. Thank you to so many friends who have encouraged me throughout the process and kept me in your prayers. To those of you who volunteered your time in video production, graphic design, literature drops, and door knocking, thank you. I also appreciate the support of each of you who so generously donated to our campaign. We were able to get our message out to thousands of people and were able to stand for liberty here in Meridian because of your support.

 

I am proud to have stood for our founding values and principles here in my hometown. America is worth fighting for and I will never give up on that fight. I will continue to look for ways to be involved in defending our liberties and system of government and look forward to updating you all on that process.
